In the period from January to March 2025, teams of teachers from Serbia and Macedonia conducted field visits to companies/organizations/institutions operating in the field of sustainable agricultural practices, precision agriculture, organic agriculture, renewable energy sources and the use of technology in agriculture.
Several field visits were carried out to various agricultural entities with the aim of directly introducing them to good practices and modern solutions in the field of sustainable and technologically advanced agriculture. Companies that use solar collectors to heat water in greenhouses, as well as biomass as an alternative source of heating, automated irrigation systems (drip-by-drip), soil and light sensors, LED lighting for cultivation, digital monitoring and management applications, crop rotation, composting, organic fertilization, limited use of chemicals, solar panels and efficient irrigation systems with moisture sensors, organic seeds, natural fertilizers and biological preparations, ecological packaging for product packaging, digital soil mapping (SOIL), RAMAS remote sensing system, NDVI analysis by drones, geolocation sampling, IoT devices and artificial intelligence for farm management were visited.
These field activities provided direct insight into modern practices and technologies that contribute to more efficient, environmentally and economically sustainable agriculture, and provided a basis for their application and adaptation in the educational process.
