Background
Within the framework of the AgriTech Solutions: Innovative VET for Sustainable Agriculture project with project number 2024-1-RS01-KA210-VET-000244168, funded by the Erasmus + program of the European Union, teacher training is being implemented for Improving Teaching for Environmental Sustainability and Technological Advancement
The main objective of this project is to improve vocational education and training (VET) in sustainable agriculture through the introduction of project-based learning (PBL), focusing on sustainable and technologically advanced agricultural practices. inclusiveness and accessibility for all students. This project aims to combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications, thus equipping students with the necessary skills to deal with modern agricultural challenges.
Goals of the training
The training aims to provide teachers with the knowledge and skills necessary to improve the teaching of environmental sustainability and technological progress. After the training, teachers will work on disseminating the training and integrating teaching content from sustainable agricultural practices, precision agriculture, organic farming, renewable energy sources and the use of new technology in vocational education.

Results of the activity
13 educators and administrators from partner organizations in Serbia and North Macedonia were trained, who will play a key role in the initial planning and subsequent implementation of the updated curriculum.
Their involvement ensures that the curriculum is pedagogically sound and aligned with educational standards and industry needs and ensures that the content is current, relevant to the industry and includes the latest technologies and practices for sustainability.
Activities after the training Environmental Sustainability and Technological Development
After the training on Environmental Sustainability and Technological Development development were followed by activities carried out by the teachers who were part of the training.
The activities concerned
The dissemination of the training included teachers of vocational subjects in schools. Each of the teachers who were part of the training on Environmental Sustainability and Technological Development held a one-day training during September 2025. A total of 13 teacher trainings were held. The training covered about 170 teachers.
The classes were held with the students in one of the areas: sustainable agricultural practices, precision agriculture, organic agriculture, renewable energy sources and the use of new technology. The teachers included one of the areas in their regular work engagements. With good coordination between the teachers, a synchronized activity was made to cover all 5 areas. A total of 13 classes were held. The classes covered about 190 students.
