In the period May-June 2025, teams of teachers from Serbia and Macedonia worked on developing a comprehensive proposal for updating the vocational education and training curriculum based on the research findings.
Modules were defined and detailed module descriptions, learning outcomes and teaching methodologies were developed for each new or updated curriculum component. This proposal will be reviewed by stakeholders from the education and agriculture sectors to ensure its relevance and applicability.
The comprehensive proposal for updating the vocational education and training curriculum in agriculture covers current and emerging topics such as sustainable agricultural practices, precision agriculture, organic agriculture, renewable energy sources in agriculture and the integration of digital technologies. This ensures that the curriculum is relevant and meets the needs of the agricultural sector.
As part of this activity, an improved curriculum for environmental sustainability and technological development was developed within the project. Based on this curriculum, Serbia and North Macedonia developed programs to be offered to schools and adapted to the relevant regulations in their countries.
Serbia developed an Elective Program for Environmental Sustainability and Technological Development, and North Macedonia developed a curriculum as part of the school curriculum content under the title Environmental Sustainability and Technological Development.
The programs are offered to schools for use. North Macedonia also verified the program through the Center for the Development of Vocational Education.
As part of this activity, teaching materials on environmental sustainability and technological development were also developed, which were not previously planned in the project application. These materials are a good tool that can help teachers in implementing teaching not only for this curriculum, but also for other curricula that include sustainable agricultural practices, precision agriculture, organic agriculture, renewable energy sources in agriculture, and the integration of digital technologies.
