The training on environmental sustainability and technological development was followed by activities carried out by the teachers who participated in the training. The activities related to:
– Dissemination of the training
– Mentoring for the development of student-led projects.
The teachers who participated in the training will work on:
The dissemination of the training included teachers of vocational subjects in schools, as well as teachers of general education subjects who teach in vocational schools. Each of the teachers who participated in the PBL training held a one-day training during October 2025. A total of 12 training sessions were held for teachers. The training covered approximately 180 teachers.
The mentoring for the development of student-led projects included the preparation of projects that address specific challenges in the agricultural sector.
Each teacher who participated in the training mentors at least one team of students. As mentors, teachers provide guidance and feedback to ensure that projects are impactful, feasible, and innovative.
These projects cover one of the following areas: sustainable agricultural practices, precision agriculture, organic farming, renewable energy, and the use of new technologies
Through projects, students demonstrate the ability to apply their knowledge to create solutions to real-world problems.
This activity takes place in three phases:
Project initiation – where teachers/mentors guide their students in identifying real-world agricultural challenges and developing potential solutions, using their newly acquired agricultural materials-making skills. The outcome of this phase is a selected project for students to work on, the establishment of guiding (driving) questions in agriculture, and the design of a structured curriculum for project-based learning (PBL).
Project Development – where students, with the continuous support of their teachers, work on developing their projects, applying the concepts of sustainable agricultural practices, precision agriculture, organic farming, renewable energy and the use of new technologies. During the project development phase, teachers act as mentors, providing guidance and feedback to ensure that the projects are impactful, achievable and innovative. The output of this phase is a project-based learning (PBL) workflow.
Project Finalization – where students, with the support of their teachers/mentors, finalize the projects. The output of this phase is completed projects with prepared presentations, presentations, design…
